FIN

Here's the finished product. There are a lot of things I could have improved on but time was of the essence. I enjoyed the process though and would like to do this again when I have improved. I will update more in the week including posting the original storyboard and a few other things. For now, enjoy...

Self explanitory

If I could get these that would be perfect! I might try and look online to order some in. I had the intention of using something other than Lego but they're so simple and attractive that it makes the process not only easier but more charming. (Lego was a childhood favorite of mine).

And another...

This one is using stop motion with plasticine models and background. Creativity is key, although I plan to make mine using toys or action figures.

Adam & Eve animations

Found this just now, it's a hand drawn classic animation of the tale. Very nicely done.

Inspirado

I found this video on YouTube of an animation made for an extract from comedian Eddie Izzard's live stand up. The clip is a comedy sketch parody of 'Star Wars', or more specifically the villain Darth Vader and it is used in combination with Lego pieces as the characters created by stop motion. I wanted to upload this video because it embodies everything my animation aspires to be and is very similar in content. This gives me a more detailed idea of what I want my project to look like and can help me draw inspiration from it's precision and execution.

Gervais Animation

For my main animation project I have decided to use an existing sound clip from the first ever Ricky Gervais stand up DVD 'Animals', and create some different visuals to put over the top. The clip I am using is about the story of Adam and Eve, and the snake in the Garden of Eden. The format of animation I have chosen to work with is stop motion. I will be collecting different biblical figures for the characters and will design a background for the entire scene to take place. I think this method will not only enhance the story but also give it a greater comic effect and impact. Here is a clip of the stand up that I will be using although mine will be a few minutes shorter and focus entirely on the section about the Garden Of Eden.
